Each plantable invitation is made at our UK paper mill from 100% recycled post-consumer materials and embedded with a native British wildflower mix. Your guests tear it up, plant it, and watch your wedding day come back every summer.
The paper has a soft, handmade texture with visible seeds throughout. Your invitations feel like something before anyone has read them.

What Kind Of Flowers Will My Seed Paper Wedding Invitations Grow?
Every invitation is packed with a native British wildflower mix of twelve seed species, chosen to help bees, butterflies and other pollinators:
- Birdsfoot Trefoil
- Black Knapweed
- Black Medik
- Common Veitch
- Meadow Buttercup
- Musk Mallow
- Ox-Eye Daisy
- Red Campion
- Salad Burnet
- Self Heal
- White Campion
- Yarrow
Plus a mix of native grasses to help with rewilding. It is a genuinely British meadow mix, not a generic seed blend, which means the flowers your guests grow represent the real British countryside.
How To Plant & Grow Your Wedding Invitations
Add a short “plant me” line to your design so guests know the invitation is not rubbish. Something like “when the big day is over, plant this and grow our wedding flowers” works nicely on the reverse.
- Tear the invitation into pieces.
- Soak briefly in water.
- Plant about 1/4 inch deep in soil, a pot or straight in the ground.
- Plant March or September for the best results.
- Keep soil moist and water daily.
- Put it somewhere sunny.
- Expect sprouts in 10 to 14 days. Some wildflowers will not bloom until the following year, so leave the spot undisturbed.
A quick note on timing. If your invitations go out in the middle of winter, tell guests to hang on to them until March. The seeds keep perfectly well in the meantime.
How Should I Get My Artwork Ready To Print?
Upload a print-ready PDF at the finished size of 105 x 148 mm with 3mm bleed on every edge. Keep names, dates and venue details safely inside the trim line so nothing important sits near the cut.

Colours On Seed Paper
Our paper is uncoated, textured and full of seeds, so colours read softer and more muted than they do on a screen. It suits most wedding palettes beautifully, but it’s worth knowing before you commit to a deep navy or a rich burgundy.
Keep ink coverage under 40% for the best finish. Pale backgrounds with dark text almost always look better than the other way round, and they let the texture of the paper do the work.
Adding A QR Code
Linking to your RSVP form, gift list or wedding website? Use a high-contrast QR code at least 20 x 20 mm with clear space around it. We test every code scan before your invitations go to print.

You will also see and approve your artwork before the full run goes to print, so there are no surprises when the box arrives.
Printing & Delivery
Your four working days start once we have received artwork we can print from, not the day you order. That covers both printing and delivery.
Every order is sent tracked with Royal Mail, so you will get a tracking link and number as soon as it is dispatched.

Seed Paper Wedding Invite FAQ
Can I order a sample first?
Yes. We would rather you felt the paper before ordering 100 invitations. Grab your plantable paper sample pack and see the texture, the seeds and the print quality for yourself.
Will my invitations arrive in time for my wedding?
Yes. Print and tracked Royal Mail delivery take four working days, and that clock starts once we have artwork we can print from, not the day you order. Let us know your date before you order, and we’ll confirm it in writing.
What is the minimum order?
25 invitations. We print in tiers from 25 up to 150 as standard, single or double sided. If you need more than 150, use our online quote form and we will price the full run for you.
Do you supply envelopes?
No, we leave that to you. Our standard invitation is A6, 105 x 148 mm, so any C6 envelope will fit, and it means you can pick a colour and weight that suits your day rather than being stuck with ours.
Can I post them as a normal letter?
Our standard A6 invitation is 280gsm, which sits inside Royal Mail’s standard letter size and weight limits. Add a thick envelope, an RSVP card or a ribbon, and you could tip into Large Letter, so weigh one made-up invitation at the Post Office before you buy 100 stamps.
Can I get a custom size or shape?
Yes. Our standard is A6, 105 x 148 mm, but we are not limited to it. Get in touch via our online quote form, and we will quote a custom size, shape or paper colour.
Will I see a proof before it is printed?
Yes. You can request a printed proof using the notes section at checkout. We check every file, and you approve artwork before the full run goes to print.
