Most bookmarks end up forgotten in a drawer. Ours end up in a plant pot.
Every seed bookmark we make starts life as flower seed paper, mixed and pressed at our UK mill before it’s cut down to size and printed with your design.
Seed-impregnated paper, ready to grow. Once a reader’s finished with it, it isn’t rubbish; it’s the start of a small wildflower patch.
A natural fit for anything book-related: launches, subscription box inserts, loyalty gifts, event goodie bags.
Retailers and publishers often use bookmarks with their logo running the full length. If 50 x 180mm doesn’t suit your idea, tell us the shape or size you’re picturing through our online form, and we’ll price it up.
What Kind Of Flowers Will My Seeded Bookmarks Grow?
Every seeded bookmark carries the same UK-native wildflower mix, twelve species selected for pollinators, including:
- Birdsfoot Trefoil
- Black Knapweed
- Black Medik
- Common Veitch
- Meadow Buttercup
- Musk Mallow
- Ox-Eye Daisy
- Red Campion
- Salad Burnet
- Self Heal
- White Campion
- Yarrow
There’s also a scattering of native grass seed through the mix, which helps the wildflowers establish once they’re in the ground.
How To Plant & Grow Your Bookmarks
A short “now plant me” line on the design goes a long way, or you can add some short instructions like these:
- Tear the bookmark into a few smaller pieces.
- Give the pieces a brief soak in water.
- Press them about 1/4 inch into soil.
- Best sown in March or September.
- Keep the soil damp while it establishes.
- Choose a sunny spot.
- Look for shoots within 10–14 days — a few species hold off flowering until the following year, so leave the ground be.
How Should I Get My Artwork Ready To Print?
Send a print-ready PDF sized to 50 x 180mm with 3mm bleed on all sides, and keep any text or logos clear of the trim edge.
No design file yet? A Canva share link works fine. Send it over, and we’ll turn it into print-ready artwork.
If you’d rather double-check first, run it through our free artwork check before uploading.
Single-Sided Or Double-Sided?
Front-only keeps things simple for a logo and a “plant me” line; double-sided gives you room for a quote, blurb or QR code on the back.
Either way, our plantable seed paper bookmarks are printed full colour with water-based inks to help keep soil healthy.
Printing & Delivery
The four-working-day clock starts once we’ve got artwork we can actually print, not the date you place the order.
That window covers printing and delivery together, and every batch of bookmarks goes out tracked with Royal Mail, so you’ll have a tracking number as soon as it’s on its way.

FAQ
What file format do you need? A print-ready PDF works best. PNG or JPEG is fine too, provided the resolution holds up. If design isn’t your thing, a Canva share link is all we need.
Do I need to add bleed? Yes, 3mm on every edge, with text and logos kept inside the trim line so nothing gets cut off.
Can I get a custom size or shape? Yes. 50 x 180mm is our standard, but get in touch via our online form for a different size, shape or colour, and we’ll quote it.
What seeds are in the paper? A UK-native wildflower mix of twelve species plus native grasses, chosen to support bees, butterflies and other pollinators, makes these about as eco-friendly as bookmarks get.
How long will my order take? Four working days for printing and delivery combined, starting from when we receive artwork we can print, sent tracked with Royal Mail.
Can I print on both sides? Yes, single or double-sided, both in full colour, handy if you want a quote or QR code on the reverse.
